The Stewardship Paradigm
In this day and age, it is increasingly clear that businesses should - or must - take a cradle to grave perspective of their products.
Product stewardship is the next step in Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) management, a step that broadens SHE management beyond the factory gate to include wider issues such as product security.
In short, it is the development and implementation of responsible business management processes across the fertilizer lifecycle to take greater responsibility not only for how products are produced, but also for how they are developed, sourced, stored, transported and used.
IFA's industry-driven Protect & Sustain (P&S) initiative is a core component of the Association's 2030 strategy to facilitate the fertilizer industry's transition to more sustainable operations.
